Pinkie Pie (6/6!) by hystree Pinkie Pie (6/6!) by hystree
Here's my Pinkie Pie, and with this I've finally made at least one each of the mane six! (I always feel silly typing that... but it's ok 'cause Pinkie).

Looking at her pics now I see a few things to change if I make another :P

So I just went with the simple mane pattern this time, and the side poof is not stitched down because this way it can be flipped to the other side, which is nice, but I think it could look a bit more accurate to be stitched. So I'll leave it to whoever gets her to decide.

More pics tomorrow, I just took a couple tonight.
And now sleep.

She is sold.

Oh, never mind. I didn't see your "no commission" thing on your profile. Taking back the question! It is super cute though! The best one I've seen!
jenjen1994 Featured By Owner Mar 22, 2013
do you commission. I'd love to buy a pinkie pie!
firestarslove Featured By Owner Mar 2, 2013  Hobbyist General Artist
i looked at a few of your ponies and i only have one question, do your have a pattern you use for your whole pony or do you just go off of with your think will look right?
either way, the ponies look amazing!
dot-DOLL Featured By Owner Feb 20, 2013  Professional Artisan Crafter
I think you get the proportions pretty much perfect. Turning such a 2D stylised character into a 3D plush is always awkward, but these ponies are absolutely fabtaculous XD Plus, the stitching always looks crisp, and they're smoothly stuffed; no lumpy limbs here!
JaneDoe14 Featured By Owner Feb 11, 2013
I love how you sew her head at more of an angle and gave her a great pose. It gives a lot of personality to the plush. I'm hoping that I'll be able to produce decent results with hand stitching since I really can't afford a sowing machine... Though I might just have to try to save for one seeing as the eyes and cutie marks are done far better by embroidering.

Best of luck and don't feel pressured by people to open up for commissions... it's downright exhausting and can potentially make you hate your artwork. It's a shame to see that happen.

Nice… she's ready for the party! :D
Legeden Featured By Owner Feb 4, 2013
Congratulations, You've reached the perfection. I'm not into stitching myself so I don't see anything from that point of view but other than that, it's perfect.

I just say that you are my favourite and the best pony plush maker I have ever seen. All your work I look at is incredible and has impeccable detail. Ever single plush just makes me want to break through reality just to snuggle it! They're all so cute! Do you sell them?

Just goes to show this fandom will pay hugely for accuracy. A much deserved congratulations. :D

1.2k! Holy rich pony community, lol. That is some great work, though, definitely well-earned.
ob2kenobi Featured By Owner Dec 13, 2012
This is just amazing! I've never seen anyone get her mane so perfect. It even looks good from the front, which I find is a bad angle for a lot of 3D ponies. I Bid what I could. But with Christmas coming up, it finally got too high. Really hated to miss this one. I hope to see you do another someday.
SpindleWinter Featured By Owner Dec 13, 2012  Hobbyist Digital Artist
I just saw this on Equestria Daily and... She's PERFECT. Normally I have some sort of nit to pick with pony plushes, like the mane's odd or the body's too thin or whatever, but I have nothing bad to say about this at all. I mean, her eyes! Her mane! She looks so soft and huggable! *explodes from sheer squee*
SullMaster Featured By Owner Dec 13, 2012
As I told you already she came out phenomenal, you sell yourself short you're a fantastic designer for these! Great job!
imgur Featured By Owner Dec 12, 2012
I submitted your plush to reddit and it did incredibly well, in spite of me submitting it at the wrong time of day and with a boring title. Quite a testament to how amazing your quality is. One user accused you of taxidermy because this couldn't possibly be handmade, it's just too good. XD
hystree Featured By Owner Dec 13, 2012  Hobbyist Artisan Crafter
Wow, thanks for letting me know! And I'm all #^^# that you did that too, what a huge compliment!!

lol mirror-wolrd Pinkie indeed! That's okay, I kinda think of minky as their hides xP /dark humour.

Incredible! Apply at Hasbro and make the world a better place
hystree Featured By Owner Dec 13, 2012  Hobbyist Artisan Crafter
Lol, It would be a nice dream but even if so I think it would be really hard for them to replicate my ponies to the same standards as a single person can achieve. There's just so many factors involved in how they end up looking, the pattern itself is only like 50% of the output, honestly.

EvilToasterofFP Featured By Owner Dec 12, 2012
Do you stuff the mane and tail just as firm as the rest of the plush? For some reason I imagine Pinkie's hair to be all fluffy and squishy.
hystree Featured By Owner Dec 13, 2012  Hobbyist Artisan Crafter
Hmm, I went and squeezed her mane to check :p . It's maybe slightly less stuffed than her body but not much (I tried this, but if you don't stuff enough there's inevitably more creases and rumples, especially with rounds shapes like her mane, so it wouldn't look as good.) I agree though, it should be floofy puffy in real life. It was stuffed with all fluff-stuffing at least, so it's as squishy as I could get it.
